Noongar Country

‘We acknowledge the traditional owners of this country that we are standing on today and honour the Elders, past and present’

Acknowledgement to Country provides the opportunity for everyone to give respect to the Noongar Ancestors and Elders of this land. Where ever possible you should try to learn the specific place name and Noongar clan that owns the country you are acknowledging. For example, ‘We acknowledge the traditional owners of the Wadjak boodjar (Perth land) that we stand on here today at Derbal Yerrigan (Swan River).’
